You’ve heard of post-modern and post-impressionist… Get ready for post-opulent as Rolls-Royce seeks to outdo itself in 2022.
In 2022 the Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan will get the Black Badge treatment, creating an even more exclusive and more expensive machine for those who like their luxury.
The Black Badge treatment was first introduced on the Rolls-Royce Wraith coupe in 2016, and has also been seen on the Dawn convertible, Cullinan SUV and now the second-generation Ghost sedan.
The more sinister treatment sees the edition pick up more power, enhanced styling, and improved dynamics demanded by Rolls’ subset of younger, more expressive customers.
The Black Badge series draws from a specific set of options, but also allows buyers to customise their machine extensively, and is proving lucrative for the British car maker. Rolls-Royce says that 27 per cent of the vehicles it sells are now Black Badge variants.
