2018-2019 Land Rover Discovery recalled in Australia with fire risk

The fuel feed hose fault could cause a fire in the engine bay, according to the manufacturer.

Jaguar Land Rover has recalled 240 examples of its 2018-2019 Land Rover Discovery large off-road SUV, citing a fire risk.

The affected vehicles are stamped Model Years 2018 and 2019.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing issue, the fuel feed hose assembly may have been incorrectly routed and as a result could split. This may lead to a fuel leak into the engine bay.

“A fuel leak in the engine bay compartment may result in an engine bay fire. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders.”
