2020 BMW X5 recalled in Australia with fire risk
BMW Australia has recalled 20 local examples of its 2020 BMW X5 large SUV, citing a fire risk.
The affected vehicles are stamped Model Year 2020.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, the battery does not meet specifications and may experience an electrical short circuit when fully charged, which could result in a fire.”
“A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders and/or damage to property.”
