2015-2022 Suzuki Vitara recalled in Australia

A printing error in the owner’s manual has prompted a recall of the Suzuki Vitara.

Suzuki Australia has recalled 31,763 examples of its Suzuki Vitara SUV, due to a printing mistake in the owner’s manual.

The affected vehicles are stamped Model Years 2015-2022.

The recall notices (here and here), lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Vehicles have been supplied with incorrect information in the owner’s manual in regards to the installation of ISOFIX child restraint system.

“Consumers may incorrectly install the ISOFIX child restraint system, posing a risk of injury or death to the child in the event of an accident.”

According to Suzuki, owners have been contacted by mail to have the error to be corrected.
