2022 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GSR arrives in Australian showrooms

A new flagship variant of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport seven-seat four-wheel-drive has been added to the local line-up.

Mitsubishi Australia has released the 2022 Pajero Sport GSR – a new flagship variant if its seven-seat four-wheel drive.

Priced from $63,990 drive-away, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GSR matches the Exceed specification in many regards, but comes with cosmetic changes.

This includes black 18-inch alloy wheels, black grille and headlight garnish, model-name badging across the bonnet, a black roof and roof rails, and GSR badging on the rear.

Other features that mimick the Exceed specification include an 8.0-inch infotainment display with digital radio and navigation, smart key with push-button start, LED exterior lighting, heated front seats, and leather-appointed seat trim.

The Pajero Sport GSR is available in white or black.

As with the Exceed and other grades, the Pajero Sport GSR has seven seats with a third row that folds into the floor.

The 2022 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport retains the same 133kW/430Nm 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine shared with the Triton four-wheel drive ute, but has an eight-speed automatic gearbox versus the ute’s six-speed auto.

Amid the current stock shortages, only the lower grade Pajero Sport GLX is also available with drive-away pricing (starting from $46,740 drive-away according to the Mitsubishi Australia website).
