2020 Ford Transit and Transit Custom recalled for suspension arm fault

Ford Australia has issued a recall for 15 examples of the Transit, and a further 165 examples of the Ford Transit Custom, citing a potential fault with the front lower control arms. The 180 affected vans were built between June 5 and July 8, 2020 (model year 2020). The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says “the vehicles may be fitted with front lower control arms that contain incomplete welds, which may lead to fracture of the component.”
