ACCC releases list of 'critical' Takata airbags on Aussie roads
The owners of vehicles still fitted with "critical" Takata airbag inflators are being urged to stop driving their cars immediately. A range of Honda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mazda and Lexus models sold between 2001 and 2004 are fitted with Takata inflators that have a "severe risk of mis-deployment" if they activate. Affected vehicles are fitted with airbag inflators that could degrade over time due to exposure to high temperatures and humidity.
