2015-17 Citroen C4 Cactus recalled for bonnet fix
Citroen Australia has recalled the 2015-2017 C4 Cactus, over concerns a faulty wire could stop the bonnet latching properly.
The company says the striker wire support on the bonnet lining of affected vehicles may not be sufficiently secure, which could make the bonnet open while the car is moving.
Should the bonnet pop open, it might block the driver’s vision and, by extension, create a heightened accident risk.
The recall affects vehicles sold between November 2, 2015 and April 29, 2017. A list of the 279 VIN numbers in the recall can be found here.
Citroen will contact owners by mail, and advise them to take the car to their nearest dealership to have the faulty component checked. If the car is faulty, the dealer will fit a stiffener wire to solve the problem.
