Ford Focus RS and ST concepts unveiled ahead of SEMA 2017

Four cars based on the Ford Focus RS and Ford Focus ST will be among the 50 vehicles on the Detroit automaker’s stand at this year’s SEMA show.

The Rally Revival Ford Focus RS (top) looks as though it’s ready for a bit of dirt-track racing, thanks to its vinyl graphics pack and white 19-inch OZ Racing Superturismo GT wheels.

Performance is improved via a new high-flow induction kit, upgraded intercooler, a Ford Performance exhaust system, and a short-throw shifter.

The car rides on 235/35 Nitto NT01 tyres, and a new RS-R coilover suspension setup that’s said to improve the ride, as well as the handling. Other rally-inspired exterior changes include a new rear wing and diffuser, aluminium splitters, and bonnet vents.

Inside, the rear seats have been removed. In their place is a four-point roll cage, and Sparco EVO front seats.

The Ford Focus RS TriAthlete (above) has a matte black body partially covered with airbrushed art. Among the upgrades under the bonnet is a Kompact dual port blow-off valve, which is said to reduce turbo lag.

The car rides on 19-inch Forgestar CF5 Deep Concave wheels, 265/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, and an Air Lift performance suspension setup.

The Tjin Edition Ford Focus RS (above) has an eye-catching Axalta Pennzoil paint job and carbon-fibre aerodynamic add-ons.

Stopping power comes courtesy from a set of Baer Brakes with six-piston callipers. The Tjin Edition rides on 19-inch Rotiform alloy wheels, 245/35 Falken FK150 tyres, and BC Racing coilovers.

Performance is beefed up via the new FullRace intercooler and intake, as well as the Ford Performance exhaust and short-throw transmission.

Much of the visual impact of the Ford Focus ST by Blood Type Racing comes from its Midnight Purple paint, expanded wheel arches, and the new Rally Innovations rear wing.

The car rides on 19-inch B-Forged Performance 768SL alloy wheels and 245/35 Toyo Tires T1 Sports tyres. Other under-the-body changes include Air lift suspension and a Wilwood braking kit.

Improving the car’s output is a Borg Warner EFI 7163 turbo, and a new intercooler and radiator, as well as a Ford Performance exhaust and short-throw transmission.

Inside the there’s a set of Sabelt GT621L carbon-fibre racing seats with four-point safety harnesses, and a custom rear storage compartment for a drone.
