- New infotainment controller and rear brake caliper finish
- Prices start from $92,200 before on-road costs
The 2023 Genesis GV80 large luxury SUV range is now on sale in Australia, with mild updates and price increases across the range of $200.
Following a more comprehensive update in 2022, all versions of the GV80 range gain a redesigned controller for the infotainment system – with a raised dial, rather than a concave one – while there’s a new Genesis-branded rear brake caliper design to match the front brakes.
Six-cylinder variants – the 3.5T AWD petrol V6 and 3.0D AWD straight-six diesel – also gain a revised software tune for the adaptive suspension, intended to deliver a more stable drive, and a “minor” hardware change to the steering system.
Prices have increased by $200 across all variants, pushing the starting price to $92,200 plus on-road costs.
Buyers continue to have the choice of four model grades – 2.5T rear-wheel drive, 2.5T AWD (all-wheel drive), 3.0D AWD and 3.5T AWD – with a $10,500 Luxury Pack option across the range, and a $13,500 Six-Seat Luxury Pack on all-wheel-drive variants.
Standard features on the entry-grade model include 20-inch wheels, a 14.5-inch centre screen, LED headlights, power front seats, a panoramic sunroof, 21-speaker Lexicon sound system, and a suite of advanced safety features.
Higher grades add 22-inch wheels, adaptive suspension and off-road drive modes, while the Luxury Packs add features such as soft-close doors, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, quilted nappa leather seats, heated and ventilated second-row seats, and auto parking.
Full lists of pricing and standard features are at the bottom of this story.
Powering the GV80 2.5T is a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 224kW and 422Nm, driving the rear or all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 3.0D AWD upgrades to a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbo diesel engine with 204kW and 588Nm, while the 3.5T AWD use a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 279kW and 530Nm. Both offer all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmissions.
