Cavallo Bianco! The rarest Ferrari Enzo of all is up for sale
With only 400 Ferrari Enzos ever produced, it’s amazing that one should stand out more than the others. This is that one.
Traditionally, when Ferrari releases a supercar it’s not the sort of thing that just anyone can buy. Regardless of means.
The Maranello-based brand has a purchasing methodology, often referred to as ‘The Pyramid’ which requires you to have climbed through ownership of ‘lesser’ Ferraris in order to be invited to experience the top.
The Ferrari Enzo, in its very limited 400-unit run, was such a car.
But like all exclusive clubs, there’s an even more exclusive club inside the exclusive club, that’s exclusively for those ‘in’ the club. This is the realm of the invitational specification, where you can order ‘off menu’ specification for your purchase.
Reportedly, less than 20 Ferrari Enzo buyers were invited to choose a colour outside of the standard palette (a process Ferrari call Extracampionario), and of those, only one was white.
That car, chassis number 133023, finished in Bianco Avus over black (Nero) leather, was sold new in 2003 to a Swiss-German billionaire and has spent the majority of the past two decades stored in a private collection in Europe before heading to Hong Kong.
With only 9600km on the clock and a fresh Ferrari Classiche certification, the rarest Enzo of all is now offered for auction for the first time ever, with zero reserve.
Don’t get your hopes up for a bargain though, as a ‘regular’ red Enzo (Rosso Corsa, naturally) will currently run you somewhere between three to four million Euros ($AUD4.5-6M).
The Ferrari Enzo features a naturally aspirated mid-mounted 6.0-litre V12 engine with 485kW and 657Nm available. It was named to honour the brand’s iconic founder, Enzo Ferrari.
The White Enzo is offered for auction by RM Sotheby’s in Canada and will hit the digital block between 29-30 June 2022. A final EOFY splurge perhaps?
