2023 Toyota RAV4 interior revealed, due in Australia this year
Meet the cabin of the updated 2023 Toyota RAV4 XSE, Cruiser and Edge, unveiled in Europe ahead of first Australian showroom arrivals later this year.
Toyota Europe has revealed the interior of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 mid-size family SUV, ahead of first Australian arrivals before the end of this year.
The updated RAV4 was announced by Toyota Australia two months ago, with overhauled interior technology and various safety enhancements to rival the medium SUV class leaders – but we’ve needed to wait until now for the first photos of the changes.
As reported, the Model Year 2023 RAV4 will be available with a 10.5-inch touchscreen on XSE, Cruiser and Edge grades in Australia – housed within a similarly-sized surround to the current 8.0-inch screen, which will carry over on the GX and GXL.
Both screens will run Toyota’s latest infotainment software, with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cloud-based satellite navigation, and a ‘Hey Toyota’ voice assistant.

A fully-digital, customisable 12.3-inch instrument cluster will now feature from the XSE model up – with the 7.0-inch driver display previously on higher grades now standard on the entry GX and GXL, replacing the existing 4.2-inch screen.
Also new for the 2023 RAV4 in Australia is support for Toyota Connected Services, with an SOS call function, stolen car tracking, and a phone companion app – the lattermost branded ‘MyT’ in Europe.
Europe will benefit from the same safety upgrades headed for Australia, including intersection support for the autonomous emergency braking system, and Emergency Steering Assist, which can turn the vehicle away from obstacles, such as a pedestrian stepping into the road.
A new Platinum White Pearl exterior colour is also slated for the European market – though there’s no word on whether this will be available in Australia.
As reported, the Toyota RAV4’s 2023 update is set to see prices rise by up to $3000 depending on model grade, according to a bulletin supplied to Toyota dealers.
Meanwhile, some dealers are quoting wait times of up to 18 months, as semiconductor and other part shortage force slowdowns in production – combined with continued high customer demand for the model, which is regularly Australia’s third best-selling vehicle outright.
Production of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 is due to commence for Europe before the end of September, ahead of first Australian arrivals before the end of this year.
