2022 Formula One show car on display at Motorists Concours event
Get a first-hand look at the new Formula One cars a week before the Australian Grand Prix.
Considered the pinnacle of automotive performance and technology, the design of Formula One race cars has often gone on to influence what we drive on the road.
For 2022 that design has been refined again, with new aerodynamic tweaks employed to eke every last ounce of efficiency from the open-wheel racers – and allow cars to one another more closely, designed to deliver better racing.
To see these changes in person, a 2022 Formula One show car will be on display at the Motorists Concours d’Elegance at Point Leo Estate from 1-3 April, a week before the Australian Formula One Grand Prix at Albert Park.
The 2022-spec car showcases the new front wing and underbody aero, and larger 18-inch wheels (up from 13-inch) with covers on the rear.
Tickets to the inaugural Concours event are on sale now, with close to $100 million worth of cars on display including a 1923 Bugatti Brescia, 2022 Pagani Huayra and 1994 McLaren F1, among the Point Leo Estate modern art exhibition grounds.
