Voice of Formula One returns to Australia for live show

Renowned Formula One broadcast personality David Croft is returning to Melbourne for a special appearance of the “Ask Crofty” live show.

The voice of modern Formula One commentary will host a live show in Melbourne five days prior to the 2022 Formula One Heineken Australian Grand Prix.

“Ask Crofty” will be conducted alongside fellow colleague and former driving ace, Martin Brundle, with the pair sharing insights into the celebrated sport, along with highlights of their time in the paddock together.

For years the “Ask Crofty” tagline has been incorporated into the Sky Sports coverage, as well as on social media and online as an avenue for race fans to engage with the celebrated commentator.

The 2022 season marks Croft’s 17th year commentating F1, while Brundle has had great success in the sport with 158 race starts, beginning his F1 career in 1984.

The live show will take place at Melbourne’s Plenary Theatre on Tuesday April 5. Tickets are currently on sale to the general public via the Ticketek website and app.

Round one of the 2022 Formula One season kicks off in Bahrain on Friday 18 March, with Melbourne losing its customary season opening spot. The Australian Grand Prix will be held in Melbourne on Sunday 10 April in Albert Park.
