Tesla launches in-car karaoke system with built-in microphone

US electric vehicle giant Tesla has unveiled TeslaMic, an in-car karaoke system now available in China.

US electric car maker Tesla has introduced a karaoke microphone – known as TeslaMic – on cars sold in China.

The system was designed to work with a new karaoke program built into Tesla’s infotainment technology for Chinese New Year.

It’s believed the TeslaMic is wireless and automatically connects to the infotainment system.

It comes with various modes to help aspiring singers to sound better.

The in-car karaoke system can also be used outside the vehicle.

Tesla’s in-car karaoke is currently only available in the Chinese market, however the company recently expanded the trademarks for its brand name and logo to cover audio products, hinting at a launch for the TeslaMic outside of China.

Tesla already has a wide range of lifestyle products including apparel for men, women, and children – as well as outdoor accessories and model cars.

The TeslaMic costs 1199 Chinese yuan ($AU267) and reportedly sold out in an hour on the Chinese Tesla online shop.
