The watch that will ‘brake’ the bank
We’ve already seen a lot of prestige car brands collaborate with watch companies but this one is certainly a step above the rest in terms of its uniqueness.
The BL-Endurance, manufactured by watch company Lorige, is made of brake pads from a Peugeot 9X8 racing prototype, with the company just sealing a partnership deal with Peugeot Sport.
This unique masterpiece is limited to 24 examples and contains DLC-coated titanium parts (such as the bezel and screws), while inside it’s a Swiss Jura-built LOR-PR01, with manual winding, 37 jewels and 294 moving components. All of this will set you back approximately $AU45,000.
Attention Tesla owners: Don’t allow your car to get hacked
A 19-year-old tech specialist has announced that he has control of approximately 25 Teslas in at least 13 different countries.
Access to these cars allows him to turn the music to full volume, roll the windows down, pop the doors, flash lights and disable Sentry Mode, plus assess if the driver is in the vehicle. These things may be fun for a joke between friends – but from a stranger, it’s worrying.
The teen tweeted his current findings stating, “So, I now have full remote control of over 20 Teslas in 10 countries and there seems to be no way to find the owners and report it to them…”.
Another Bugatti collaboration and this time it has just two wheels
Supercar brand Bugatti is not stranger to collaborations – and this time it had joined the electric scooter boom.
Teaming up with US brand Bytech, the scooter contains hints of Bugatti-like features including the swooping taillight, the rear puddle light, and the Agile Blue paint.
As expected it’s lightweight (16kg) with the frame constructed out of magnesium alloy, which helps keep the weight down. This e-scooter has a top speed of 30km/h and gives the option of Economy, City and Sport modes. The price is yet to be released, but as a Bugatti and a collaboration piece, it’s unlikely to be affordable.
Like Lewis Hamilton’s style? Good news, he’s now launching his own jewellery line
After losing the 2021 Formula One championship, Lewis Hamilton has kept himself occupied – away from the racetrack.
The seven-time world champion is seen to be quite trendy, often posting his over-the-top outfits and jewellery on social media. Now, he’s reportedly launching his very own line, trademarking his name across a range of goods.
The collection is set to offer jewellery, watches, art in precious metals, and key rings and fobs. It’s rumoured the F1 ace will use his full name for the brand, but the launch date is yet to be announced. One thing you can count on is that items will sell out – and we anticipate that most items won’t come cheap.
There’s a new autonomous delivery vehicle on the way – and we want one!
Using autonomous vehicles to deliver goods is the way of the future. Autonomous delivery start-up Nuro has unveiled its third offering.
This electric vehicle (EV) offers sleeker styling to its predecessors and a very charming ‘face’. It also offers twice the cargo capacity (765 litres) than its predecessors, which is claimed to offer space for 24 shopping bags. It even has the ability to heat or cool items, perfect for pizzas and drinks.
The delivery EV is produced by BYD North America with the company claiming to be able to build tens of thousands each year. It remains to be seen if it will be available in Australia.
