Ford Mustang goes to auction for a good cause

A Ford Mustang GT has been donated to ‘Kids Under Cover,’ with all funds raised assisting with the prevention of youth homelessness.

An Australia youth homelessness prevention organisation – Kids Under Cover – has received its one of its biggest donations yet.

The charity acquired a Ford Mustang GT Fastback 5.0 V8 through their Donate Your Car Program, which has been running since 2006.

The initiative has given car owners the opportunity to donate their pre-loved vehicles, with all funds going towards the prevention of youth homelessness.

This recent generous donation will go under the hammer through Kids Under Cover auction partner, Manheim, with the reserve set at $75,000.

“Whoever buys this car will have a brand new sports car and know that every dollar they spent will be going towards preventing youth homelessness in our community”, said Adam Walsh, Kids Under Cover’s Head of Fundraising.

The Mustang up for grabs packs a snarling 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine producing 339kW/556Nm, sending drive to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

This particular model is a 2021, two-door coupe finished in ‘Race Red’ and is listed with just 29km on the odometer.

The auction runs from 10am 22

November until 4pm, 26 November 2021. This story will be updated with the final sale price.
