Ferrari BR20: One-off V12 supercar breaks cover
The retro-themed V12 two-seater was sold to an undisclosed buyer for an
undisclosed price. Here’s everything we do know.
Ferrari has pulled the covers off a new one-of-one custom model this week, dubbed the ‘BR20.’
Designed by Flavio Manzoni and underpinned by Ferrari’s now-discontinued GTC4Lusso, the special-order tourer swaps out its donor car’s ‘shooting brake’ rear for a retro-inspired fastback.
Meanwhile, the nose has been stretched by 76mm, flying buttresses have been added behind the B-pillars, and the front fascia has been heavily reconfigured.
Inside the cabin, both
rear seats have been removed. The remaining furniture is trimmed in dual-shade brown leather.Under the bonnet, a 6.3-litre naturally-aspirated V12 petrol engine sends 507kW and 697Nm to all four 20-inch diamond-finish wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
This allows the 0-100km/h sprint to be completed in a claimed 3.4 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 330km/h.
According to Ferrari, the design “cleverly references the magnificent Ferrari coupés of the 1950s and 60s, without the slightest hint of nostalgia.”
“Instead, it pulls off the challenging feat of marrying timeless elegance with muscular sportiness, effortlessly incorporating styling themes typical of some of the most iconic twelve cylinders in Ferrari history, including the 410 SA and 500 Superfast.”
It’s unclear who bought and specified the car, or how much was paid for the custom work.
