2015-2021 Toyota HiLux recalled in Australia

The fault could cause the licence plate to dislodge, according to the recall notice.

Toyota has recalled 156,838 examples of its 2015-2021 Toyota HiLux ute, citing a potential fault with the licence plate bracket.

The affected vehicles are stamped Model Years 2015-2021.

The recall notice, published by Toyota, says: “In the worst case, the Licence Plate may dislodge resulting in an increase to the risk of injury to other road users.

“For all involved vehicles, Toyota Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the LPB and tray bracket free of charge to vehicle owners.

“It is expected that it will take approximately 30 minutes to inspect and replace the brackets.”
