Car makers to resume production across Europe from next week
Car manufacturers across Europe are reopening factories and restarting production as governments begin to ease coronavirus restrictions – although other parts of the world may have to wait another month or more. As of next week, Volkswagen, Renault, PSA, Toyota and Mercedes-Benz will begin reinstating their manufacturing operations in plants across Europe, while examining viable ways to eventually do the same for their production sites in the United States and Asia.
