Kia slams Stinger for SEMA

The 2018 Kia Stinger has only just landed, but the Korean manufacturer has already handed it over to West Coast Customs for a wide-body makeover.

There’s only one image of the car at the moment, but the tweaked Stinger GT certainly shows some serious promise, with aggressively-flared arches and an angry-looking diffuser.

West Coast Customs has lowered the front and rear suspension and swapped the standard wheels for 21-inch forged units, which lurk under widebody fender flares.

We’re most interested, however, in the new quad exhaust system. Everyone in the CarAdvice office who has driven the Stinger has complained about a lack of noise, so a louder, meaner take on the big rear-drive Korean cruiser is a tantalising prospect.

Kia is promising the tuned Stinger will have a nicer cabin to match the bright blue exterior, but we’ll have to wait for the full SEMA reveal for more details on that.

In the meantime, check out what Hyundai is planning to show in Las Vegas.
