Ferrari celebrating 70th anniversary at Melbourne’s Motorclassica
Ferrari will officially celebrate its 70th anniversary at the 2017 Motorclassica in Melbourne next month.
The event will feature rare and collectible cars from around the world and is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Come October, Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building will see the biggest display of Ferraris to have ever been assembled in Australia.
“Driven by Emotion” will pay tribute to the heritage of the Cavallino Rampante race team, al0ng with the Italian brand’s styling and innovation throughout its generations. Special guests will also be speaking on stage during the event.
Ferrari’s most important models will feature, from the 195 EL to the special limited-edition LaFerrari Aperta (below), which was made especially to celebrate the company’s 70th anniversary.
The drop-top hypercar recently broke records in Maranello as the most expensive 21st-century car ever sold, going under the hammer for a cool $12 million at a recent auction.
A group of Ferraris will also wind their way through Melbourne for the Tour Classica on the 12th of October, while the Ferrari Owner’s Club of Australia will display 70 of its vehicles on the forecourt of the Royal Exhibition Building as part of its 45th National Rally.

Tickets are on sale now for the 2017 Motorclassica which will be held from October 13-15.
