2018 Aston Martin Vantage teased again

The next-generation Aston Martin Vantage has been teased this week, in a single shadowy image.

Concealed by a semi-transparent sheet, the new sports car’s LED tail-light signature, which is a thin strip that runs the width of the rear, can be seen.

We already have an idea of what the new Vantage will look like thanks to the camouflaged images released earlier this year (above), and also because the new sports car will draw heavily from the design of the DB10 featured in the popular James Bond movie franchise (below).

In terms of powertrain, the Vantage is expected to launch with the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 shared with the DB11, sourced from Mercedes-AMG. The Vantage’s engine is expected to pump out around 375kW, which matches the DB11 V8 and the AMG C63 S.

Additionally, the DB11’s in-house 447kW/700Nm 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 is likely to be offered in the Vantage later on, in a similar model hierarchy to the current V8 and V12 lineup.
