Maserati Ghibli, Levante, Quattroporte recalled for seat fix
The Maserati Ghibli (M157), Levante (M161) and Quattroporte (M156) have been recalled this week over concerns of a faulty seat adjustment system – affecting 1455 vehicles across Australia and New Zealand.
According to the Italian marque, affected units are fitted with an incorrect seat wiring harness layout which can cause the seat wiring harness to rub against metal points on the seat/seat frame assembly.
If the condition occurs, normal seat adjustment operation over time could lead to an inoperative seat adjustment system, posing a risk of an electrical short to ground between the seat wiring harness and the seat adjustment motor assembly.
The number of units affected by model line are as follows:
Ghibli – 984 vehicles (Australia)/109 vehicles (New Zealand)
Levante – 69 vehicles (Australia)/14 vehicles (New Zealand)
Quattroporte – 245 vehicles (Australia)/34 vehicles (New Zealand)

Owners of these units will be contacted by Maserati’s local arm, and will be advised to contact their preferred dealer to have their vehicle inspected and repaired.
