Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge gets UK police livery
Rolls-Royce has decked out a Ghost Black Badge in UK police livery for the Chichester Police Station Open Day, in support of Sussex Police.
Like the Holden/Vauxhall Astra and Ford Focus police cars typically used in the UK, the Rolls-Royce features authentic police lights, a police radio, and Sussex police decals which cover the ‘Andalusian White’ paint.
Inside, black and tan contrast leather and a Black Badge Technical Fibre fascia mean officers are transported in luxurious comfort.
The luxury sedan attracted big crowds as Rolls-Royce collected money for charity, including Chestnut Tree House which is the children’s hospital in Sussex.
“We were delighted to support Sussex Police at the Open Day. As a proud member of the local community, Rolls-Royce recognises the importance of the emergency services, including the police”, said Andrew Ball, Global Corporate Communications Manager.
“We were particularly pleased to see a number of our employees visiting the event with their families, and sharing their pride in the motor car they built”, Ball said.
There was speculation that the chief constable was going to be allocated the Ghost Black Badge, but those rumours were quashed when the car was returned to its factory look and taken back Rolls-Royce’s Goodwood headquarters.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen impressive UK police display vehicles. Over the years the McLaren MP4-12C, Ariel Atom and Lotus Evora were wrapped in police livery as well.
