Jay Kay’s Lancia Delta Integrale goes to auction

The 1993 Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione II Sedici owned by former Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay, is going up for auction.

The Italian hatchback was imported to the UK in 2000, where nine years later, Kay purchased the little red rocket, adding it to his ever-changing car collection. Back then it sold for around AUD $22,000, but it’s expecting to fetch up to $58,000 this time around.

In January this year, Kay treated the 2.0-litre engine to a $13,000 rebuild after a misfire, which included new forged pistons, polished crankshaft-bearing journals, a block rebore and skimming of the cylinder head.

The Evoluzione II was produced for only one year and is one of the more sought after Integrales. Its 16-valve engine produced 158kW of power and 314Nm of torque, reaching 100km/h from a standstill in a swift 5.7 seconds.

Kay’s Lancia will be up for grabs later this month at Silverstone Auctions in the UK.
